I have wanted to play the harp since I was a child. From the first time I heard its sound, and before I properly knew what it looked like (let alone how big it was!) I was hooked and have remained entranced ever since. Once over their initial surprise, my parents were wonderfully supportive; travelling many patient miles with me and my awkward passenger. There was, however, more than the usual sigh of relief when I passed my driving test and could go off to rehearsals by myself at last!

As is often the way of these things, one step led to the next and I went from Cambridge to London, then off to New York for my postgraduate studies at Juilliard. Now I live in Paris with my husband and our young son.
I love the freedom of my solo recitals, the conversational intimacy of chamber music making and the grandeur of the symphony orchestra. I thrive on the variety and enjoy the freedom freelancing affords me. The opportunity to work at something I love is a wonderful thing and I wouldn't have it any other way.
