'Britten and Ireland' - James Gilchrist, tenor; Alison Nicholls, harp; Nathan Williamson, piano

James Gilchrist returns to Southwold with a programme of English song, focussed on the work of Benjamin Britten in his centenary year. Britten's 1st and 5th Canticles and Michelangelo Sonnets are the centrepiece, alongside the languid 'Land of Lost Content' by one of Britten's teachers, John Ireland. Also on the programme are folksong arrangements, works by Ivor Gurney, and a new commission by Nathan Williamson, setting poetry by one time Southwold resident, David W. Lankshear.

Tickets for this event are £12.
