| Kanako Ito was born in Japan. She has performed and broadcast concerti, recitals and chamber music throughout North America, Europe and Asia. She studied violin at the Toho-Gakuen Music School, Tokyo, the Paris Conservatoire and the New England Conservatory, Boston with professers Kubota, Kubo and Michele Auclair. Kanako has won prizes in several major competitions including the Kloster Schontal International Competition in Germany (1990), the Lexus International Competition in New Zealand (1992), and the 1993 Geneva International Competition. | ||
