
| Lorna McGhee was born in Scotland and studied flute with William Bennet at the Royal Academy of Music, London where she was awarded the Queen's Commendation for Excellence. As a concerto soloist Lorna has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra as a winner of the 1993 Shell/LSO Scholarship, and with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Lorna was co-principal flute of the BBC Symphony Orchestra (?-1999) and also appeared with the Marais Ensemble, European Soloists' Ensemble, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Lorna now freelances in Vancouver, BC. | ||
