A collaboration between international prize winning musicians

Robert Plane won the Royal OverSeas League Competition in London in 1992. Since then he has performed concertos with the City of London Sinfonia, Ulster Orchestra, Bournemouth Sinfonietta, Northern Sinfonia and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales (with whom he is currently principal clarinet) in such prestigious venues as the Barbican Hall, London and the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid. He has recorded extensively, and his best-selling account of the Finzi Clarinet Concerto for Naxos won the Classic CD Concerto award as well as a Gramophone Editor's Choice nomination. As soloist and as a member of the Plane-Dukes-Rahman Trio Robert has given performances at renowned festivals including Cheltenham and Tanglewood, USA.
